About Studio Semaphore

Studio Semaphore are a team of experienced wayfinding specialists providing strategy–lead creative outcomes to improve navigation and understanding of complex sites. Our refined delivery methodology and collaborative approach means we have established our position as recognised experts at the forefront of wayfinding design. We believe that successful design outcomes can only be underpinned with research. Before commencing any design we work closely with our clients to understand their needs and expectations; revealing all project challenges and opportunities. In direct response to the project’s context and parameters, we generate ideas and themes to inform the design. In collaboration with our clients we then carefully refine our design response, mindful of all interfaces within the broader project. This enables us to meet both the studio’s and the client’s quality expectations with a solution we can smoothly implement. Semaphore acknowledges Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples as the Traditional Custodians of Australia. Our Naarm (Melbourne) studio stands on the lands of the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation. We pay our respect to their Elders—past, present and emerging—and extend that respect to all First Nations people.
