Studio Seyfried is a 4 person landscape architecture and urban design firm founded in 2024 by Joshua Seyfried, PLA, ASLA. Based in Seattle, WA, our work spans multiple realms, typologies, and scales. From large urban framework plans, to community parks and linear corridors, we take great pride in attention to detail, collaboration, and the commitment to our clients to deliver high quality and beloved spaces. As the world faces issues of rapid urbanization, climate change, and deepening social concerns - our aim is to uplift through the creation of inclusive, just, and vital places where people live, play, and engage. Design is Alive! We approach design with the understanding that the design process is alive! We view design as a continuously evolving process and encourage our clients to embrace that dynamism. Great design is usually never something that happens spontaneously and superfluously, and we are here to guide you through what is the design process. We believe that any great product or place is the result of a strong partnership, trust, and continued iteration, testing, and making. Collaboration is Key For us, the most special creations are ones in which collaboration is truly embraced. We believe the design process is something that should be, and must be, inclusive in order to create equitable and beloved urban spaces. Being respectful of, and open to the opinions of our team, of clients, and of the people we serve is critical to any projects success. Story Telling and Narrative Lastly; we feel strongly that the creation of highly cherished open spaces are built upon the back of a strong narrative, rooted in the people and places we serve. This not only serves as a way of giving voice or shedding light upon the untold, but it also allows us to maintain integrity throughout the entire design process. In an age of highly disposable objectivity, we feel strongly that what creates true one-of-a-kindness is being rooted in a story informed deeply by context.
