About Studio Tove

Studio Tove is led by Silvana Vergara, architect and interior designer, with over twelve years of experience delivering high-end interiors and product design for a wide range of clients including residential, commercial, and hospitality projects. Vergara believes in interiors as an extension of ourselves, interiors that convey moods and emotions. She is often asking: "How do you want to feel in this space? How do you want this space to reflect you?" We are in permanent contact with the built world and we have psychological reactions to it. Choices of color, texture, form become imperative for physical and mental wellness. Vergara strives to co-create timeless spaces with her clients that can be a reflection of who they are, and that are in synchrony with their energy and aesthetic pursuit. Her interest in sustainability and eco-conscious projects has resulted in an exploration into material health research and a re-focus of hrt interior design practice on wellness. She holds a certificate by the Healthy Materials Lab at Parsons as a designer qualified to design healthier interiors. Vergara likes to combine her passion for design, materials, and techniques with her curiosity to develop new design concepts and custom products as a part of her multidisciplinary studio. She was born and raised in Colombia, and obtained a degree in Architecture at the Los Andes University in Bogota. Following her studies, she co-founded two companies: interior design studio Estudio Paralelo; and GRES, a hand-made textile brand supporting Colombian artisans. In 2018, she received a MFA in Interior Design from Parsons School of Design in New York City, where she currently resides.
