About Studio Verve Architects
Verve is an award-winning, design-led RIBA Chartered Architecture Practice based in Haggerston, East London. The practice is led by women directors Vivian and Yuk Yee who are also both partners in life and work and who have complementary personalities and fortes that enable the smooth running of a busy architecture practice. We undertake sustainable, biophilic architecture and interior design of one-off homes, major extensions, housing-led mixed-use schemes and masterplan. These areas of work span across historic Listed Buildings, sensitive green belts, conservation areas and even Unesco World Heritage sites. We provide a full service from feasibility, planning, architectural design and construction supervision to also include interior and graphic design. We use Building Information Modelling (BIM) for complex projects to provide iterative early-stage designs, developed building components, documentation, schedules and wider design team coordination. Our designs — often bold and contemporary — are underpinned by an interplay of imagination and technical rigour, mostly accompanied by an element of surprise in their concept and delivery. The spaces we create are well-used and loved. We value lateral thinking and non-conformity. We aspire to challenge and exceed the client’s brief and provide innovative and sustainable solutions that are both delightful and spatially inspiring. Each year we pledge 5% of our time to good causes through meaningful Pro-Bono work to serve society.
