About STUDIOMAPP

Studiomapp is a startup specialised in Location Intelligence helping organizations to extract insights from geospatial data using Artificial Intelligence on Satellite data and aerial imagery. Studiomapp is specialised in developing deep learning models tailored to rapidly and efficiently analyse sub-meter resolutions optical satellite imagery. It is able to identify, classify and geolocalize more than 150 different fine-grain classes of objects in different domains and industries, including energy, infrastructures, construction, maritime, international cooperation, disaster preparedness and response. Studiomapp awarded by Airbus in the first GeoChallenge for the innovative use of data fusion with satellite imagery and other data. Studiomapp was also awarded as one of the top solvers of the xView Challenge 1.0 focused on developing an object detection solution for disaster response and the only European company to be awarded as 4th top performing by National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency and Defense Innovation Unit. It was also awarded by NATO Communication and Information Agency as one of the winners of the annual Defence Innovation Challenge during the NITEC conference for maritime vessels and port activities monitoring. Studiomapp completed the ESA BIC program in Rome and it is also a founding member of the Copernicus Academy network. The technology has been proved and validated in operative context with corporate clients, especially in the oil and gas sector, and it has been expanded to work also with other types of optical sensors, including UAVs providing higher GSD, so to be able to extract intelligence from imagery in multisource scenarios and in different countries and locations around the world taking into account different places, environmental conditions and region-specific features.
