About Subaltern Records

Bristol - Berlin - Hamburg based Deep Dubstep / Bass music vinyl label. Formed in London by Gabriele ‘Mentha’ Romeo and Joban ‘jobanti’ Thomas, Subaltern Records has remained an independent vinyl label since 2013. Joined in 2014 by Daniel ‘Otz’ Tyllack, the label is now based in Bristol, Berlin and Hamburg. Having released 13 records so far featuring the likes of Ago, Clearlight, D-Operation Drop, Piezo, Taiko and RDG to name but a few, Subaltern represents a cutting edge sound at the forefront of the bass music scene. Moving forward with the additional help of our newest team member Matt Debondt, the label is expanding and pushing the true dubstep sound harder than ever.
