The Sudanese Electricity Distribution Company Ltd (SEDC) was established on 28 June 2010 by the Council of Ministers Resolution No. 169/ of the year 2010 which cancelled the founding order of the National Electricity Corporation and the devolution of all its real estates, property and movables, the rights and obligations of the National Electricity Corporation to the newly established companies in the field of electricity including SEDC. The Company was registered in accordance with the Companies Act under the number 37108. The Sudanese Electricity Distribution Company Ltd. (SEDC) operates in accordance with the international standards through the preparation of plans; funds estimates to implement the plans on the ground of reality, while ensuring the creation of an exemplary administrative organization by identifying the activities and the required amount of work. Since the customers' satisfaction represents the cornerstone, the SEDC has created a specialized Customers Services Center, whereas the Company offers the services to its customers in the different sectors (industrial – agricultural – residential – governmental - unified sectors), moreover the SEDC worked to substantiate and streamline the work of the Automatic Control Center, develop its mechanisms and expand its spreading base to cover all Sudan, to push forward and promote the gross domestic product (GDP) while expanding the Company spread-base to cover the entire Sudan.
