About Sugimoto Tea Company
Sugimoto Tea Company (formerly known as Sugimoto America/SA Japanese Green Tea) was founded in Shizuoka, Japan by Zenichi Sugimoto in 1946. The tea Zenichi made was so delicious that he quickly was able to expand operations from just providing his tea to locals, to sharing it even further across the country. Decades later the Sugimoto tradition of producing fine Japanese green teas is being passed down to the third generation of Sugimoto Tea Makers and in 2008 Kyohei Sugimoto made the journey from Japan to the US to bring his family's delicious tea to international tea drinkers. Our mission is to help people all around the world achieve a healthier, richer life by providing them with delicious and high quality Japanese green tea. Today, Sugimoto Tea Company produces a wide range of Japanese green teas including matcha and even has many certified Organic teas available too. Our retail line of teas is available at grocery stores around the US, we supply a wide range of Japanese teas wholesale or as an ingredient to companies throughout the world, and we also help companies manufacture their own private line of teas including matcha.
