We are a not for profit organisation that uses community and creativity to shine some light into someone's day; advocating sustainable mental health and wellbeing for all in the form of universal suicide prevention. We have projects, workshops and creations for all ages, and run specialised sunflower programmes for students and staff. We were born in Bristol in 2018 and are portable throughout the community as we have sunflower wheels - Vivi the Vito (beep beep!) We have a manifesto that values hope, humour, vulnerability, balance and curiosity. We truly understand mental health is not linear, but it is the connection you have with yourself that matters most. However, there is an equally important aspect that is becoming increasingly overlooked in this fast paced world; togetherness. We use the symbol of a sunflower because just as a sunflower turns towards the light in order to bloom, we can turn towards others and ourselves to bring some lightness. Sunflowers truly should be the symbol of light and hope for those going through dark times.
