About Sumeet Nagdev Dance Arts
Sumeet Nagdev Dance Arts - SNDA started on 26th April 2007 by 20 year olds Sasha & Sumeet Nagdev while they were graduating from college in Mass Media & Management studies respectively. SNDA’s vision has been to promote inclusive dance arts amongst the youth of India, keeping Indian culture & its rich artistic history as the foundation while also allowing new ideas to prosper in the light of the present. To nurture this vision, SNDA runs an Academy division for community & professional programs with organized and structured curriculums in various dance & creative movement subjects. SNDA is an associate member of Commonwealth Society of Teachers of Dancing (CSTD) for its Jazz and Ballet programmes. The other division is ‘The Company’ that performs contemporary Indian dance productions and musicals at premiere dance festivals and theatre venues. Dance critics have lauded the Company across the globe for their productions namely 'Resonate', 'Gandhi is Alive', 'Dhrut’ & 'Talkative Dancer'. SNDA has performed in Mumbai, Delhi, Pune, Jaipur, Seattle, Lisbon, New Jersey, New York and Bali. Other than performing at dance festivals across the country, Sumeet along with his company has also done television, advertisements and Film Projects with various Bollywood celebrities such as Priyanka Chopra, Sonakshi Sinha, Ayushman Khurana, Anushka Dandekar, Deepika Padukone & Hema Malini to name a few. He was also a judge for a television show Dance+ season 1. His recent work TRIDHA – A 90 minute triple bill evening consisting of 3 contemporary dance productions – Dhrut, Dashanan & Trishna received an overwhelming response during its premiere on 28th April 2017. SNDA has been acknowledged by Times of India in 2008 as the youngest & fastest growing dance company of India.
