Summer x Salt is a collective of passionate, salty folk who are all about positive environmental and social impact. Founded in 2016 as a social enterprise, our beachside markets and events collaborate with local businesses, community organisations, makers, creatives, non-for profits and social enterprises to highlight positive change in the community. We are now recognised as WA’s Surf, Salty Lifestyle & Sustainable Beachside Markets, hosting our Summer markets down by the beach at Clarko Reserve, Trigg. Our commitment to connecting the local community has always been at the forefront of our existence. Mission Our mission is to inspire healthier communities through shared experiences in support of the wellbeing of people and sustainability of the planet. Vision A socially-conscious marketplace and incubator hub to help build communities, grow small businesses, connect real humans whilst doing good for the planet. Aside from being a rad community and beachside market, Summer x Salt also strives to achieve 5 objectives - 1. Turn the tide on plastic and waste - Reduce the impact single-use plastics are having on our oceans and land. We aim to be a 100% single use plastic-free, waste-free event. 2. Coastal community -To inspire healthier communities by connecting people to real humans and shared experiences outdoors. 3. Growing the good - To provide a platform that brings local business, organisations, designers and creative projects to life within a conscious, salty space. 4. Live lightly - Connecting and educating people on living more lightly. And supporting socially and ethically conscious products and services for a better world. 5. Spread the froth! - Encouraging positive mental health and well being through surfing, being in the sea and an active lifestyle. As the saying goes, you can’t stop the waves, but you can learn how to surf!
