Design Philosophy Summerlake believes in the harmonious coexistence of tradition and technology, imagination and order, nature and humanity. By integrating the three stages of design—“imagined design,” “illustrated design,” and “real-world design”—Summerlake has developed a unique design methodology centered around the narrative expression of space, which we refer to as "rooms that tell their own stories." Research and Design Process Summerlake considers research to be a crucial tool in the design process. By understanding each project's unique background, planning framework, natural geography, and historical culture, our designers create logically rigorous works. We deconstruct and reassemble the scale and spatial relationships of various elements, using color, craftsmanship, materials, and the interplay of light and shadow to create immersive environments that foster a deep connection between people and their surroundings. Creative Inspiration Our creative inspiration primarily stems from films, fairy tales, novels, paintings, and nature. Summerlake believes that design, as a powerful spatial language, finds its origins in stories, which convey the emotions of a space and ignite the imagination of its occupants. Each story has its own unique qualities, and what truly defines a space are the people and events within it, not just its form and function.
