Summit was founded in 1997. Today we are one of the most experienced specialists in Europe in the field of registration, badging and data intelligence. We are still known as the first party to use e-ticketing in the event industry. Initially, we only participated in trade fairs, but now we also focus on conferences and corporate and government events. Summit, the makers of Hippocampus Education was added in 2005. It started with the registration of open days. Students could register for open days organised by some educational institutions using Summit’s online registration forms. Once on site, they were scanned. This provided insight into who had attended the open day and what they were looking for. It soon became clear to us that a Student Journey encompasses more than just an open day. Other types of activity were added to the system. At the same time we developed functionalities to better monitor the recruitment process and follow up on contacts with prospective students. The continuous development of the software, combined with increasing security requirements, made further development on the existing platform increasingly difficult. That is why we decided in 2021 to redevelop the system from scratch. Hippocampus was born! Today, dozens of educational institutions in Europe enjoy using Hippocampus. Every day, we work hard on our system and support our customers in every way we can. Our team comprises an ambitious group of around 20 enthusiastic software developers, project managers and support staff.
