Sumtotal is a strategy and technology consultancy specialising in the converging sectors of Digital Services, Connected Devices and Smart Networks. Specifically, we offer pragmatic solutions to clients who provide consumers and/or businesses with service solutions which integrate devices with services over mobile or broadband networks. We can provide varying levels of support from market validation for new product/services, through to organising and carrying out workshops with industry experts. We also have access to an extensive network of key individuals and companies within these converging sectors, who can usually provide useful input to clients’ projects within the bounds of confidentiality. Sumtotal has significant knowledge and experience of the mobile payments and wallet services market. Specifically, Jay Chinnadorai (Founder & MD of Sumtotal) was a lead partner in the launch of the UK’s first mobile contactless payment service by Orange called Quick Tap. Subsequently, Jay has been deeply involved with the launch of Weve in the UK as well as being their Interim Wallet Services Director for over a year. As a result of these different engagements and prior knowledge from working in Sony Corporations NFC deployments in the Far East, Sumtotal has accumulated a significant amount of knowledge in deploying mobile payment solutions ranging from developing attractive customer propositions and profitable business models through to ideal implementation platforms and effective business development strategies. Sumtotal’s current and past clients include a portfolio of large clients such as Weve, Orange, T-Mobile, Sony Corporation, BT, Siemens, Philips, Scottish Enterprise as well as several start-ups in Europe and the US.
