About Sun Up Foundation

Sun Up Foundation is an Ohio-based non-profit. SunUp is founded to provide safe, positive, stable, and supportive housing to vulnerable populations. We call it SunUp, because we are creating an environment & roadmap of hope for the people we serve. As we start out, we ask that you please follow us and share with friends! THE MODEL is a shared-housing, supportive model, whereby program participants live together "as a family". - Each participant signs a contracting that commits them to rules that foster a positive, respectful environment in which each person can heal, grow, learn and develop. - Homes: * fully-furnished, and residents can decorate their own spaces to their liking, as long as it's in compliance with positivity. * nice, well-decorated, in safe areas, and convenient to public transportation to jobs. - Life skills training (weekly) - Program participants can depart when they want. If they enjoy and want to stay in their family, they are welcome to. Those who want to graduate out of the program will receive a certificate proving their successful participation in the program to open new doors. TO PAY for the the resources a program fee will be required, and participants will be responsible for their own food budget. The source of those funds will vary depending on situation, but the program is designed to help each individual to become self-reliant. Utilities will be paid for by Sun Up. POPULATIONS we seek to serve: re-entering justice-involved citizens; aging out foster children; individuals on fixed, low income; abused women, etc. We are seeking donations for furnishings as well as for scholarship funds for participants in financial need (of which there will be many).
