About Sunday Lunch
Sunday Lunch: Serving Dignity, One Meal at a Time 🥪 It began with a walk through downtown Los Angeles—and a moment that changed everything. After witnessing the harsh realities of homelessness, James Kantor returned to Georgia with a mission: do something. Alongside his partner, Cyan Sattin, they founded Sunday Lunch, a grassroots movement committed to restoring dignity through consistent, compassionate service. Every Sunday in downtown Atlanta, Sunday Lunch hand-delivers 80+ high-quality meals to those experiencing homelessness. These aren’t leftovers—they’re thoughtfully packed lunches: turkey, ham, or PB&J sandwiches made with fresh ingredients, fruit, chips, cookies, and bottled water. Just like James and Cyan would make for their own family. Because everyone deserves that level of care. But Sunday Lunch is more than food. It’s a moment of stability in an unstable life. Hygiene kits, socks, and reusable bags are distributed when possible. Volunteers don’t just show up—they build relationships. And now, with nonprofit status in the works, Sunday Lunch is growing. 💛 Under $3 a meal. 100% volunteer-run. Powered by purpose. Sunday Lunch is looking for: 👫 Volunteers for meal prep & delivery 💵 Donations to expand impact 🤝 Board members and leaders who believe in serving with dignity The stories behind homelessness are as diverse as the people themselves. Sunday Lunch meets them with empathy—not judgment. Because it’s not just food. It’s fellowship. It’s consistency. It’s a true day of rest.
