Sundial Wire manufactures cloth-covered electrical wire. We sell the wire, both retail and wholesale, along with lamp parts, cord sets, and pendants via our web site. One of the owners starting the company when he, working on a film crew, need cloth-covered wire for sets on a movie that took place in the 1920s. We saw a need for beautiful wire as well as period-correct wire, and have grown beyond just supplying film-set-decorating needs. We now have modern colors and styles as well as wires appropriate for antiques. Our wire is still used in many movies and TV shows. We are committed to US-made goods whenever we can find them. We braid American-dyed and spooled cotton and American-spooled rayon over American-made PVC-coated copper wire. Our manufacturing processes are braiding the cotton and rayon over the wire, twisting the wire together for certain styles, and spooling the wire for sale. Our order-processing and manufacturing facilities are located along a river in an old mill in beautiful Western Massachusetts.
