Sunline was The Original High Speed, High Capacity Polywrapping Company. Conveniently based in the heart of the Midlands in Loughborough, Sunline Direct Mail was originally founded in 1978 as a contract packaging company handling various packaging projects including putting compost into bags. The business continued with great success and developed a relationship with many companies competently handling the polywrapping and mailing of large projects such as the yellow pages and many other prestigious publications. In 1997 a new management structure was formed when an MBO was undertaken. This led to further investment in new equipment and more importantly new operating procedures and businesses practices that helped turn the business into a successful market leader in the polywrapping and direct mail business. Sunline’s business intentions were still clear in the intention "to provide a cost efficient high volume mailing solution". In order to expand the business further and develop its successful approach to direct mail, on 1st October 2003 Sunline Direct Mail acquired a lettershop business based in Redditch and invested in new equipment and a new management team to help broaden the scope of the business. This business was branded as Sunline Solutions which as a trading division of Sunline Direct Mail was in essence the same business employing the same techniques and management practices at both sites. The focus of Sunline Solutions was on the lettershop side of direct mail to provide a service to an already existing client base in the polywrap division along with developing new clients specifically for lettershop activities. In February 2007 Sunline were acquired by CEPS Plc who are an investment company interested in acquiring businesses with potential and facilitating their growth. This relationship was already helping to develop further opportunities for Sunline and other potential markets in which to operate.
