The history of Sunset Ford represents a long and proud tradition of offering quality cars and service. In 1912, Peter S. Heutel founded the Sunset Auto Repair Company on Gravois, which at that time was no more than a country gravel road. In 1916 Sunset Auto Repair Company became a franchised Ford dealer known as Sunset Ford. The current owners, John, Jim and Tom Heutel, believe that the commitment made by their great grandfather over 100 years ago to customer quality is still the driving force in making the company successful today. Along with customer service, Sunset Ford also believes the people they employ make a huge difference in their level of success. They feel great employees keep their customers coming back month after month and year after year. Sunset Ford takes pride in having professional staff in all of their departments. Today, fourth and fifth generation Heutel's are still behind the wheel of the family-operated dealership that supports local charities and other fundraising activities. Giving back to the local community is something Sunset Ford feels strongly about because without the community, nothing is possible! Two locations; St. Louis, MO and Waterloo, IL.
