About Sunsetcrew

Sunsetcrew is a community based in Burleigh Heads that offers people a space to go "beyond small talk," focusing on meaningful conversations around mental health and life situations. We run two weekly events that help foster these deeper connections. The first is We’re All Humans – a celebration of each person’s story and uniqueness. Every session, we choose a topic about being human and create questions, activities, and games to explore it further. It’s all about embracing the shared aspects of our humanity while highlighting what makes each of us unique. The second event, Chill & Connect, is our newest addition. Held on Sunday evenings, it’s a relaxed picnic where we use a collection of conversation starters to spark inspiring and free-flowing discussions as we unwind and watch the sunset. With over 150 events under our belt, we encourage participants to step into leadership roles. Each week, a different crew leader brings their own ideas and guides the group, keeping things fresh, creative, and exciting. It’s a great opportunity if you’ve ever wanted to run events, lead groups, or improve your public speaking. Whether you’re looking to lead or just want to find a welcoming crew to have great conversations and spend quality time with, come along and join us!
