Whole Human Beings We don't treat an addict or an addiction; we treat human beings. We do not believe that a person with an addiction can be reduced down to mere thoughts, feelings, or behaviours. We help our clients become motivated towards growth so they can overcome barriers and make personal transformation possible. 2. The Authors of Their Lives Our primary clinical effort is to help clients take control of their lives, regardless of circumstances or personal and social limitations. 3. Different Than Their Pathologies We recognize that pathologizing addictive behaviours reinforces the stigma of addiction and disrupts our relationship with clients.
