About Suomen Mentorit ry

Suomen Mentorit association was born out of two women’s frustration with plenty of talking and little action concerning youth unemployment in 2012 when we suffered from the financial crisis. Together with four like-minded people, they founded a non-profit Suomen Mentorit association to help recent high-educated graduates find employment through mentoring. Today, our association is organizing free-of-charge mentoring programs nationwide for high-educated talents under 36 years old in Finnish and English. Some of our mentees are searching for a job matching their education with the help of mentors. Others look for perspective on recognizing their competencies or planning their careers, while some want to clarify their future direction. We aim to help high-educated talents to work life and keep them there. In our mentoring program, prominent leaders and experts from various fields volunteer to share their knowledge and experience to help the younger talents start and build their careers. In return, the mentors get an insight into the world of young adults, learn about the latest research findings from their fields, and get a unique opportunity to make a difference. After organizing mentoring programs for ten years, Suomen Mentorit has started to offer assistance and expertise to other organizations in mentoring-related matters.
