About SuPer ry

Suomen lähi- ja perushoitajaliitto SuPer on Suomen suurin sosiaali-, terveys- ja kasvatusalan toisen asteen tutkinnon suorittaneiden ja aloille opiskelevien ammattiliitto. SuPer on ainoa liitto, joka on keskittynyt lähihoitajien ja perushoitajien edunvalvontaan. SuPerin keskeisiä tavoitteita ovat mm. että työpaikoilla on riittävästi koulutettua hoitohenkilökuntaa, palkka vastaa työn vaativuutta ja että lähi- ja perushoitaja saa työssään käyttää koko osaamistaan. Superilaiset työskentelevät sosiaali- ja terveydenhuoltoalan työpaikoissa sekä julkisella että yksityisellä sektorilla. Super-liiton jäseniä toimii myös alan yrittäjinä. Jäsenten paikallisesta edunvalvonnasta huolehtivat SuPerin ammattiosastot, työpaikkojen luottamusmiehet, työsuojeluvaltuutetut ja yhteistoimintaelimissä toimivat edustajat. - - - Finnish Union of Practical Nurses SuPer is Finland’s largest union of professionals with a secondary-level education and diploma in social welfare and healthcare. The union also accepts student members. Looking at their educational background, professional status and benefits, the SuPer members – 90 000 in total – constitute a very homogenous group. The largest groups of members are constituted by the practical nurses with the Finnish "perushoitaja" or "lähihoitaja" diplomas. A member organisation of the Finnish Confederation of Salaried Employees, SuPer has 213 local union branches and members employed in every sector of social welfare and healthcare. The core operations of SuPer include collective bargaining and negotiations as well as the promotion of the professional competence of its members. The Union also wants to contribute to the development of the practical nurse education in particular and of the social welfare and healthcare sector in general. The Union also actively participates in international cooperation. The Union, in operation since the year 1948, is constantly growing and getting stronger.
