Supershoes empower children and young people fighting cancer in the UK, enhancing physical & emotional well-being while raising awareness along the way. Supershoes are a registered charity (No. 1163157) that provides unique customised gifts for incredibly brave children and young people (0-24), who are receiving treatment or palliative care for cancer in the UK. The gifts provided are hand painted customised canvas shoes - Hence the name Supershoes! Supershoes are created to brighten children and young people who faces massive challenges every day. The gifts also promote mobility, by encouraging children who may otherwise feel too poorly to get out of bed and enhance emotional and physical well-being by providing a positive step on a difficult journey. Each pair of shoes are designed specifically for a particular child or young person and hand painted by a Super Artist to express the child and all of the things they like. This could be a favourite game, sports team, music, animals or all of the above! In fact, anything that the child holds dear. Supershoes are as unique as the child or young person that wears them and act as a reminder of who they are, despite their illness, challenges and treatment. Supershoes is a completely voluntary organisation - The talented and selfless people who form our incredible team include over 130 Super Artists, 6 Super Admin Volunteers and 4 Super Terrific Trustees.
