Supplement Marketing was established early in 2014 with the aim of offering mutual benefit to all stakeholders in the sports supplement industry through the use of specific, targeted marketing. The business model is built on the familiar blueprint of a market-based price comparison site. Our flagship website, www.wheyprotein.org.uk, is the first in a portfolio of websites we are launching. It focuses solely on whey protein shakes, an ever increasingly popular sports supplement consumed by both men and women. Wheyprotein.org.uk helps customers with their buying decision. At the point of launch, the website compares over 1,000 products, 80 brands and 25 UK web stores. In addition to the obvious importance of the price point, coupons and deals, customers are offered more information about the subtle variations in whey protein supplements. They are also able to compare nutritional data so they are better positioned to make a more informed purchase. Our goal is to improve the "win-win" for both the retailer and the customer. For a very modest cost, online retailers benefit by increased brand and promotional exposure to a wider customer base whom they may not have already established a relationship with. Customers are able to keep their finger on the pulse of the market, which for many individuals is a marketplace they will return to again and again. They are offered relevant, updated product, price and promotional data through our websites and through social media.
