Supply Clinic is a procurement site allowing dental offices to buy from multiple suppliers on a single platform. What began as a commission-based marketplace, with over 100 participating vendors selling 100,000 products, has expanded into subscription procurement tools as well. Supply Clinic helps both single locations and multi-location practices streamline purchases, saving hours per week while offering price-comparing tools and consolidating accounts payable. The Supply Clinic story starts when Dr. Scott Drucker started his residency in Periodontics at the University of Illinois in Chicago. He had just finished dental school at the University of Pennsylvania, and needed to buy his own supplies for the UIC residency program. Naturally, he turned to the sales reps of large distributors to help him. But Scott also checked online, and found every one of his products for substantially lower prices online. Needless to say, Scott recognized that something was off. Why would the large companies with all the advantages of scale charge so much more than smaller companies for the same products? And the idea was born: build a marketplace to allow all qualified sellers to compete on price and service. Dental offices would find the price savings of smaller sellers along with the convenience of larger distributors. Dr. Drucker assembled a talented team, and Supply Clinic grew out of their efforts. Recently, Supply Clinic has added tools to help both single practices and multi-location practices manage their procurement even more efficiently. From budgeting to approval systems to data visualization tools, Supply Clinic now makes managing supply ordering a breeze while helping dental practices save 30%+ on their supplies.
