About Surdaan - Music for Miracles
Surdaan Foundation, originally known as Surdaan - Music for Miracles or Surdaan, is an established 501-(c)(3) non-profit organization by The Alaap School Of Music, continuing to showcase their passion for singing Hindustani Classical and Bollywood tunes, raising money for local and international nonprofits. Every year, students host a production in which tickets are sold to members of their community to raise money for various causes. Over the years, Surdaan has dedicated its funds to Happy India Village, Infant India, Baba Amte VSS, Hunger Mitao Campaign, Aai Foundation, Journey To Dream, Promise House Dallas, City House Plano, The North Texas Food Bank, and even The Dallas Police Department. Last year itself, Surdaan raised close to $20,000 in funds, which were all directed toward orphanages in India who suffered through the COVID-19 Pandemic. Total funds raised: $101,308 and ₹407,306
