Formed in 2004, Surplex is managed by husband and wife team Mark and Hazel Willis with over 30 years of WEEE recycling and ITAD services experience. Our core business is electrical recycling and in accordance with this we will take equipment that falls into any of the following categories:- IT / Computer Broadcasting Manufacturing Customer Returns End-of-line / production over-runs Indeed, if it has a plug then we will take it! What is ITAD/DATA destruction? A clear ITAD process should be part of any modern business strategy. ITAD is the handling of no-longer-needed IT equipment for disposal in a secure and environmentally friendly manner. This equipment, such as laptops, hard drives and monitors, cannot simply be thrown away, rather it must be securely decommissioned and disposed of ensuring your data is safe and any recycling is carried out properly. Expertise - with over 30 years in the WEEE industry we know what works and we apply this knowledge to the services offered. Security - your data carrying devices will be SHREDDED into 5mm particles - we do not wipe as we believe the wiping process is susceptible to human error. Compliance - we adhere to all current regulatory and GDPR regulations. Documentation - you will receive certification verifying that the item has been destroyed or recycled in a method agreed upon and in accordance with current regulations providing a full audit trail for each and every IT asset involved. Trust - we have been in the WEEE industry for many decades and during that time have established a large client base - some of whom have been with us for fifteen or more years.
