We are specialist in the interpretation of satellite data and we believe our customers want to understand HOW and WHY the ground is moving. Our job is to interpret the satellite data to reveal WHEN and WHERE it will become an issue. The impact of ground deformation on buildings, roads, railways and other civil infrastructure is substantial and its associated costs are rising each year. Losses related with structural damage and high maintenance are estimated to reach many billions of dollars annually worldwide. Due to population growth, climate change and the increase of economic activities, damages are predicted to rise exponentially. With the use of satellite data land deformation can be monitored on a vast scale and with quasi real-time updates. However, the current offering of Earth Observation (EO) data reveals the level of subsidence but does not inform on the underlying deformation mechanisms which makes it difficult to model and predict. At Survey Intelligence we go beyond subsidence. We differentiate the causes of deformation and forecast ground movements. We apply proprietary geomodelling and artificial intelligence on vast ranges of data including different sources of EO data. We deliver our clients a comprehensive analysis of the contribution of different ground layers and geology to the surface movement. By understanding the causes, our clients can identify exceptional events before they become critical and make informed decisions on available options and alternatives. Our land deformation monitoring system allows our clients to reduce their maintenance costs, increase safety and improve their risk management.
