About Susan Cohan Colon Cancer Foundation

The Susan Cohan Colon Cancer Foundation, also known as Susie’s Cause, is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to colorectal cancer prevention, treatment, and support services. Our mission is to champion the critical importance of early screening and detection, healthy living, and aggressive therapeutic intervention in preventing, treating, and ultimately eradicating colorectal cancer, the second leading cause of cancer death in the United States. We are committed to bringing colon cancer and overall health and wellness education across the country to underserved, underrepresented communities, in which colon cancer diagnoses and deaths occur at an alarmingly high rate, with disproportionate screening suspected to be at least partly to blame. We have funded and will continue to seek out and support cutting-edge research, with the intention of increasing the speed with which critical new treatment regimens become available to the public. We are proud to provide a supportive community and serve as a source of information and resources to those afflicted with this terrible disease, their family, and friends.
