Susannah Weiland’s work is influenced by the colours and textures of the natural world, with Kew Gardens providing the inspiration for her debut range ‘The Botanical Collection’. The designs are reminiscent of botanical drawings seen throughout the 18th century, delicate and illustrative with subtle splashes of colour. Susannah combined her love of monochrome pencil drawings with colourful and intricate hand embroidery and beading. The designs translate perfectly into a range of luxury wallpapers, fabrics and soft furnishings for a sophisticated space. Susannah applied her designs to form a range of hand-embroidered, decorative soft furnishings and artworks. Her cushions come in a variety of shapes and sizes and are backed and piped in luxurious black velvet, no two pieces are the same making each piece a collectable. Also seen in Susannah’s collection is a range of cocktail chairs, all hand made using local craftsmen, experts in their trade. The chairs can be adjusted in scale and embroidered specific to her clients requirement. Prior to founding her interiors line, Susannah pursued a career in the fashion industry for over 20 years, selling her textile designs worldwide to companies including; Donna Karen, Anthropologie and Nordstrom. During this time she was experimenting with materials like leather and paint, whilst learning crafts such as tapestry and machine embroidery. All designs are designed and printed digitally in the UK onto high quality wallpaper and soft furnishing fabric. Susannah offers customised and bespoke services specific to her clients requirement. Existing designs can be modified, scale and colours can be changed. For bespoke orders she can create a completely new design from scratch in her signature style.
