Sussex Estates and Facilities (SEF) is an innovative, ambitious and pioneering joint venture between the University of Sussex (65%) and Mitie (35%), delivering total facilities management services to the University. SEF is the largest facilities management joint venture in the Higher Education sector. The scale of operations extends across 90 properties, both on a 2.3 million square foot campus, and around the city of Brighton generating approximately 1,500 total service requests and 100 cleaning audits per month, which are measured against our KPIs. These are aligned with the key service lines ensuring compliance, and meeting the University’s requirements.
