About Sustainability Academic Network (SUSANhub.com)

The Sustainability Academic Network (SUSAN) unites sustainability researchers, institutes, students, and organizations to join forces in combating climate change. Our platform allows users to post and share datasets, papers, conferences, job postings, local events, and grants related to sustainability. These resources are categorized across various themes—from solar energy and mining to circular economies. We created SUSAN because sustainability efforts are growing rapidly across universities in every faculty and department. Yet, researchers often focus only on their own specialties, leading to isolated pockets of research and silos in the domain of sustainability. Since sustainability challenges are complex and span many fields, we need to connect with colleagues in different areas. For example, within one university, professors in business, science, engineering, geography, and urban planning might all be working on solar energy projects—but remain unaware of each other’s efforts. If it’s difficult to know about projects within our own university, how can we grasp the work happening worldwide? SUSAN aims to break down these barriers. By connecting quickly, sharing ideas, and staying informed about past and ongoing projects, we can accelerate the development of climate solutions. By uniting sustainability scholars everywhere, we encourage collaboration across disciplines and make real progress in combating climate change.
