About Sustainable Growth Network (Sgn)
Sustainable Growth Network (SGN) is a youth-founded and youth-led not-for-profit non-Governmental Organization in Lwengo district in Uganda. We engage in several community transformative initiatives in agriculture, agribusiness, youth and women empowerment. Our Vision: Communities where youth, women and smallholder farmers are empowered to improve their livelihoods through sustainable businesses. Our Mission: To restore hope among vulnerable rural communities that have been affected by poverty, violence, insecurity, conflict and other natural calamities. We aim to provide a holistic transformation of the livelihoods of people in rural and disadvantaged communities by offering training, robust linkages and exposure to life changing innovations. Our Objectives; 1) To empower all willing youth and women to start and manage businesses to boost their social and nutri-economic status. 2) To support community-led initiatives which focus on using sustainable practices to create development. 3) To train and link smallholder farmers in rural and grass-root communities to climate smart agricultural inputs and markets for their produce 4) To mobilize resources and establish sustainable agricultural businesses for women and youth smallholder farmers. 5) To promote social accountability through community dialogues.
