About Sustainable Seas

Sustainable Seas Ltd is a new, UK based consultancy, providing technical advisory services to both public and private sector clients in the UK and around the world. Our generic sectors of expertise address a range of global coastal challenges. These include "Oceans and Coasts", "Ecosystems and Bidiversity", "Disasters and Climate" and "Communities and Livelihoods". Specific expertise includes project work on the promotion of the “Living Shorelines” concept, assisting local communities towards implementing Coastal Livelihood Security measures, assistance towards delivering marine spatial awareness through the Strategic Planning of Maritime Space and introducing beach risk management and education (“Clean Blue”) for the international tourism sector. The knowledge gained as a result of where we have worked, our existing projects portfolio, our Associates and our staff experience enables Sustainable Seas Ltd to proactively provide clients with valued and targeted advice to address the challenges that face coastal and marine environments in the coming years. Examples of specific studies undertaken recently span regions including the UK and Europe, Africa and the Indian Ocean, Middle East and West Asia, South East Asia, Australisia and the Pacific and Central, South America and the Caribbean.
