About Sustainevents
"Sustainevents - Bringing Sustainability to Hong Kong’s Event Industry" It all started with a question we kept hearing: “How can we be more sustainable in our events, because global is asking us ?”- Client X At first, we didn’t have the answer. Hong Kong has far fewer ESG structures in place compared to Europe or the US. Yet, the expectations for us to meet global sustainability standards were clear and growing. So, Kirsten, Founder of What If, and Kevin, Founder and Managing Director of Filament, decided to act. Together, we created Sustainevents, a platform where agencies and vendors can connect, share resources, and inspire each other to deliver events more sustainably. Over the past 18 months, through brainstorming, research, and aligning with frameworks like Ecovadis, we’ve built a community that is stronger, better informed, and ready to tackle one of the most important challenges of our time.
