At Sutton Timber we source standing trees of English and European Hardwoods. From Oak to Elm and Ash to Cherry our wood is sourced from privately owned woodlands and government forests across the UK and Europe. By personally purchasing the logs on site, overseeing the milling, kiln drying and end sale Ben is able to be completely confident in the quality of his product and offer a fair and competitive price to his clients We hold a comprehensive stock of kiln dried and air dried wood ready for immediate delivery. Air dried timber is moved from Helmdon Sawmills in Northamptonshire to our yard at Sotterley Sawmills in Suffolk. This is where Ben’s team takes over production. We have five high tech kilns to further dry the wood. All our trees are graded and purchased by Ben Sutton. The logs are sawn at Helmdon Sawmills in Northamptonshire and kilned at Sotterley Sawmills in Suffolk. The sawn wood is then prepared and distributed for sale. With a business heritage stretching back over 20 years Ben has decided to further develop and grow his business. The product range has been extended to include engineered flooring a joinery workshop has been opened to offer a bespoke service to customers. Beautiful solid and engineered floors, kitchen worktops, ledge and brace doors and staircases are just part of the range now available as finished products. Ben’s extensive knowledge of the timber trade and a conscientious team in support, the focus is squarely on giving the customer exactly what he requires.
