SW Sisterhood SW (Southwest) Sisterhood أخوات الجنوب الغربي Hermandad del Suroeste We are the little sister organization to NJ Sisterhood, founded in Jersey City in 2014. Seeing a need for a Muslim woman's organization in Tucson, AZ, we created SW Sisterhood to bring together diverse talented Muslim women leaders in the southwestern U.S. in community service, leadership development, and collaborative learning and practice. The purpose of SW Sisterhood is to collectively empower Muslim women by developing collaborative leadership through community outreach, education, and engagement. The organization strives to create a community where Muslim women can support each other and the wider community, thrive, learn, and grow together through religious practice, reach our full potential, feel belonging and that we are contributing, and living fulfilled lives.
