About SWAAY Child and Adolescent Services
For over 30 years, we have been providing specialised, high-quality care for young males aged 11-18 with developmental trauma, attachment difficulties and who have displayed sexually harmful behaviour. We work to reduce the risk these young people pose, meet their complex needs and help them manage their physical and behavioural difficulties so they can leave their past traumas behind, build healthy relationships and lead responsible and rewarding adult lives. We have 6 residential homes, all rated 'Good' or 'Outstanding' by Ofsted, which create a safe, nurturing and inclusive environment, providing the best opportunities for our young people to feel safe to recover from their past experiences, reduce risk and empower them to develop the insights and skills needed to live successful and fulfilling lives. Our independent school provides a supportive and innovative environment, offering tailored approaches to meet the needs of our pupils to feel valued, recognised and capable to achieve their greatest potential, preparing them for further education, work and life. We have a specialised therapy team dedicated to help our young people to address their past traumas, manage their emotional and psychological difficulties and regulate their behaviour allowing them to enjoy a brighter future.
