SwapMee is a platform that sets out to address such persistent issues haunting the minority-owned businesses, including businesses owned by people of color, women-owned businesses, businesses owned by veterans, LGBTQ- owned businesses, and persons with disabilities-owned businesses. SwapMee addresses these challenges through its services: 1. Listing to display their products/services by location and conduct business 2. Investor showcase to raise funding 3. Private forum for capacity building and learning 4. Corporate database to address locational issues and enable access to contractual opportunities 5. Mentor team to provide social capital Our Mission The purpose of our work is to create an open platform wherein minority entrepreneurs can showcase, promote, and market their businesses to like-minded consumers. We want to live in a world that prioritizes minority art, physicians, teachers, products, services, and talent. We want to live in a world that generates sustainable wealth for Minority communities. This world can be achieved through actionable steps and focused effort, and this work is the heart of the SwapMee App. Who Is SwapMee For? SwapMee is for EVERYONE who wants to support their local minority-owned business. The SwapMee App combines cutting-edge technology, devotion to the public good, and devotion to Minority excellence to create a world-class marketplace directory that will serve Asian, Black, Hispanic, Women, Disabled, Veterans, LGBTQ, Indigenous People, and any other protected minority locally owned businesses, as well as the communities they work and thrive in.
