About Swatchtek

Our Story: With family roots in the swatch and sample card making industry, Swatchtek was founded in 1968 as Flortek Corporation in Bayonne, New Jersey by Warren Harris. Originally, Flortek focused on sampling for the flooring industry. Over time, however, we diversified, evolving to support a wide spectrum of substrates for both contract and residential use. Today, we mainly specialize in custom, short-run, and long-run swatches, samples, memos, and displays for the textile and wallcovering industries. Additionally, we offer custom design, prototyping, bindery, and printing services. Most recently, throughout the spring and summer of 2019, we completed an exciting corporate rebrand. After 51 years in business, it was time for a refresh! Following months of ideation, careful consideration, and fine-tuning, Swatchtek was born. Our new brand identity more accurately captures what we do as a business while also keeping us connected to our heritage. As we look to the future, we are thrilled to write the next chapter of Swatchtek’s story!
