Manufacturer and distributor of a traditional Japanese wooden skill-toy called a kendama. Although the kendama is over 100 years old and has been played in Japanese schools for over 50 years as part of their PE component, it's just made its American debut in 2009. As more people understand what kendamas are and what they bring to today's youth, the possibilities of kendama play just keep on expanding, becoming a coveted training tool for many sports including baseball, hockey, lacrosse, and extreme martial arts, as well as newer forms of sports such as tricking and slacklining. Sweets Kendamas is the first company in the US to produce their own brand of kendama - quality hand-painted, assembled, and packaged in Minnesota. Sweets continues to help build the kendama community throughout the world. It actively seeks to educate kids of all ages what kendama can bring to any of life's situations - that perseverance and self-control bring internal qualities to make what seems to be an impossible task, reality. We believe that kendamas can change the world - promoting a fun, more active lifestyle. Sweets Kendamas' Mission is to "Spread Kendama Love".
