Die Swisslos Interkantonale Landeslotterie - gegründet im Jahre 1937 - ist eine Genossenschaft. Genossenschafter sind die Kantone der Deutschschweiz und der Kanton Tessin. Im Auftrag dieser zwanzig Kantone und des Fürstentums Liechtenstein bietet Swisslos Zahlenlottos (Swiss Lotto, Euro Millions), Sportwetten (sporttip, Totogoal) und eine ganze Palette von Losen (Benissimo, Millionenlos) an. Swisslos zahlt jährlich über 600 Millionen Franken an glückliche Lotteriegewinner aus, aber auch 353 Millionen Franken an die kantonalen Lotterie- und Sportfonds (Swisslos-Fonds). Denn der Reingewinn von Swisslos kommt vollumfänglich der Gemeinnützigkeit zugute. Die kantonalen Fonds unterstützen mit dem Geld jährlich weit über 12'000 Projekte in den Bereichen Kultur, Sport, Umwelt und Soziales. Seit ihrer Gründung hat Swisslos so über 5 Milliarden Franken in wohltätige und gemeinnützige Projekte investiert.
