Syme Drummond began as a team of specialist HR recruiters, headed up by Katie Drummond who has been a professional in the recruitment industry for over twenty five years. Having worked for global, national and independent agencies, Katie has built up a wealth of experience across a variety of specialist markets recruiting from administrative to executive level appointments for a wide range of industries. Graduating from Glasgow University and having studied HRM as part of her Master's degree in Marketing, she decided from an early point in her recruitment career that she wanted to specialise in C suite, Human Resources and L&D search mandates. Whilst working for a global consultancy, she decided to pursue her CIPD to give her a better insight into her specialist market and to broaden her knowledge of the subject. As the business has grown and with our continued success, we have diversified into other specialisms in addition to HR due to demand from our hiring managers. We are accredited with the Institute of Retrained Search which gives our customers a guarantee that we are trained in the latest search methodologies in order to deliver successful outcomes every single time we take on a search mandate. We also offer market insight reports and benchmarking as well as fractional talent acquisition services so if you have an in house team but perhaps do not have the capacity to deliver on the full recruitment process, we can offer all or part of this service for you. Throughout her career, Katie has built successful relationships across a wide network of professionals which has earned her a leading reputation within the industry attracting a loyal customer base. She is delighted to have established Syme Drummond in 2010 which allowed her the scope and freedom to build on the successful partnerships already made with existing customers and to welcome new partnerships for the future.
