Based in San Diego, California, Syntax was born in 1997 when a group of creative minds began making quality music simply for the love of the art. This passion for honest creativity was a mainstay and as their creative work grew, so did the business. Eventually, in 2004, it matured into a full fledged corporation. During the early years, a creative team was assembled as skill sets were identified and refined. At this time, the true potential began to be realized when the team shined in their collaboration. Not unlike a canyon being formed from a meek but steady flow of water, Syntax continues to be recognized as a massive force putting onlookers in awe. Today, Syntax houses distribution, retail, design, and marketing and of course Syntax Records. And while technology violently shifts and fickle business trends come and go, Syntax is positioned to transcend any changes and continue to thrive as a leader keeping our customers on the cutting edge.
