The name "Tacte" originates from the Catalan word for touch. Inspired by the rich textile tradition of Guatemala, the Mediterranean vibes of the Balearic Islands, where our founders originate, and the Japanese influence in fashion, Tacte delves into the possibilities that intertwine textile tradition with contemporary design. It all begins with fabric design, drawing inspiration from nature, its colors, and patterns, allowing each fabric to be unique. We use natural fibers and a blend of synthetic and natural dyes. The fabrics are then meticulously crafted by skilled women using standing and waist looms in the villages around the city of Quetzaltenango. Next, we embark on the process of designing garments for each limited collection, aiming for an adventurous yet elegant silhouette for women. Whether for urban environments or the enchanting natural landscapes, our goal is for the wearer to feel the fabric's touch, freshness, and simplicity. Each garment is designed to accompany the individual for years due to its quality materials and careful craftsmanship, enabling self-expression through clothing.
