Previously known as GMUSG (Global Maintenance Upper Spencer Gulf), Tactic has evolved from its original foundations to a dynamic, future-focused organisation that champions industry across the Upper Spencer Gulf. While our name may have changed, our purpose has remained steadfast and that is to support and strengthen the businesses, people, and opportunities that shape our region. We are proudly member-based, drawing our strength from the businesses and individuals who live and work across Port Augusta, Whyalla, Port Pirie and surrounding areas. As an incorporated association, Tactic is governed by an independent committee of local members who bring invaluable on-the-ground knowledge and lived experience. They are backed by a dedicated team that leads the organisation day-to-day. A team that is deeply engaged in the region and passionate about seeing it thrive. Our team is actively involved in guiding and supporting local industry, engaging with businesses of all sizes, running high-impact events and initiatives, and ensuring members get the most value from their connection with Tactic. We’re here to open doors, spark collaboration, and amplify the voices of regional businesses. Tactic is proudly supported by funding partners, including the Government of South Australia through the Department for Energy and Mining, and the Local Buying Foundation.
