We are the authors of the newly-released book "Start It, Grow It, Sell It: The Journey of Business." The book helps readers to develop functional business literacy and an understanding of the Journey of Business. The core of the book focuses on business literacy and the interconnection of what we call the Biz Fab Five™ topics (Economics, Accounting, Finance, Law, and Communication) in the Journey of Business. To bring these concepts to life, we introduce the reader to Nelli and Harvey, a young couple with dreams and aspirations. They, too, want to start and grow a business. Eventually, they hope to transfer the business, perhaps through a sale, in the future when the time is right. As Nelli and Harvey toggle between Wall Street and Main Street topics, we share, expand upon, and develop the Fab Five disciplines of business. The book is a case study for their new business: "All About Health, Where Food, Fitness, and Family Come Together" written in a light-hearted tone that makes it an enjoyable, yet informative, read. Entrepreneurs create well over half of our country’s new jobs each year. Nelli and Harvey innovate, continuously learn and develop intellectual capital. Nelli and Harvey offer their ideas and concepts, our best individual currency! In support and follow-up for the book, we offer training, coaching and public speaking to further clarify the topics Nelli and Harvey encounter and to assist in applying them to the reader's personal situations. Additionally, we advise organizations that support entrepreneurship such as banks, economic development organizations and other groups that support small business creation within their membership.
