About Take Two NYC
Take Two NYC is a fully volunteer-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit that strives to alleviate stresses experienced by street-sleeping New Yorkers by increasing access to essential supplies, such as new socks, that provide comfort, stimulate confidence, & strengthen resilience. Take Two NYC collaborates with community organizations & businesses to collect new socks through sock drives & events. We partner with schools across the city to run school-wide sock drives paired with classroom sessions to grow students’ understanding of the great number and variety of people affected by homelessness in New York City. Sock distributions are done on foot & with mobile food distributors. We serve individuals in Brooklyn, the Bronx, Queens, & Manhattan.
