Talcott Ridge is an advisory firm that coaches organizations how to effectively launch, rejuvenate, and sustain their lean transformation. Here, transformation is characterized largely by driving meaningful, sustainable, and scalable financial and operational results and growing organizational capability. Our approach is founded and informed by principles that pull the best implementation strategies, systems, and tools appropriate for each business and value stream. In other words, 1) we recognize that organizations have their own distinct culture, market challenges, and purpose and do not and should not desire to be a Toyota clone, and 2) we have no interest in facilitating or teaching things that are not grounded in lean business principles, such as start from need, develop capabilities, right management system combined with right leader behaviors, and respect for everyone. Virtually every organization believes they are different than every other organization in the universe. This assertion is absolutely correct, and differences in the cultural, technical, market, and regulatory realms, among others necessitate some engagement tailoring. Certainly, Talcott Ridge does not do cookie cutter consulting. Fortunately, however, lean business principles transcend industry, and for that very reason, we have enjoyed success in many different industries. Past and current clients range from public multi-billion dollar, multinational corporations, to billion dollar or less, multi-site, companies owned by private equity to smaller closely held companies and government and non-profits.
